Help us arrange the correct study

Provide the requested modality, body region, contrast instructions, clinical indication and ordering clinician’s contact details through the agreed referral channel. Include relevant prior imaging and any time-sensitive clinical requirements.

Locations and specialized protocols

MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound are available across the Advantis network. Open MRI is listed at Walters Road. Call for specialist protocol availability and requirements before directing a patient to a particular center.

Reports and follow-up

Confirm reporting and delivery arrangements with the team for your examination. For copies or transfer requests, contact records. If you need portal access, call the office for the current access process.

Information that helps avoid scheduling delays

• The precise study, side and body region.
• The clinical question and any requested contrast protocol.
• Relevant previous surgery, devices or earlier examinations.
• Contact details for clarification and report delivery.
• Any deadline and the clinical reason for it.

Use the submission process agreed with the Advantis team. If a protocol needs clarification, identify the clinician or office contact who can resolve it. Sending a referral does not itself confirm a particular scanner, time or location.

Match the referral to the center

Walters Road provides high-field open MRI. Richmond Avenue has 1.5T closed MRI, and Dickinson provides high-field MRI. Dedicated breast and prostate MRI are arranged at Dickinson. DTI is not booked on the Walters Road open scanner. Discuss specialized studies with scheduling before instructing a patient to attend a particular address.

Prior examinations and revised orders

Tell the team where earlier images were acquired and ask how to coordinate transfer when comparison is needed. A previous written report may not replace the image files required for review. If the order changes, send the current version through the agreed channel and reconcile the study, preparation and appointment with scheduling. Confirm any associated authorization changes with the appropriate office or insurer.
